Here at Moose Country Quilts our goal is to create patterns of interesting designs with instructions that are clear, concise, tested & beginner friendly. Never again be left in the dark! Terrie also does Long-Arm Quilting and offers a variety of classes. Moose Country Quilts patterns are the product of quilting teacher, Terrie Kralik. Most designs use simple piecing & fusible web applique to create quilts of realistic wildlife & classic cars. Be sure to check our web site often for new quilt patterns & products! In addition to the Moose Country Quilts pattern line, Terrie has published three books and a booklet: A Forest of Quilts, Flora and Fauna, Quilted Forest Decor, and 90-Minute Fabric Fun. See Special Items page for more information and to order your autographed books, or ask for them at your local quilt shop. Terrie is co-writing another book right now, with an anticipated release date of May, 2010. (Okay, maybe not then after all. More on that to come later...) However, the book Australian Spirit is scheduled to be available in September, so watch for that. Australian designed fabrics are available in kits and by the yard. Do you watch TV quilt shows? Then you may have seen Terrie featured on Quilt Central (episode #507) showing the method she used to create many wall hangings in her book, A Forest of Quilts. She was filmed for KSPS TV (public television in Spokane, Washington) for a part of an episode of Northwest Profiles. Terrie is one of several teachers at an art retreat for women and all of them were filmed and interviewed. Terrie and her students are painting on fabric in this episode. What's next? Terrie has been busy as a Teaching Artist with the state of Idaho (Idaho Commission on the Arts). Soon you will be able to see photos from some of these fun events! Terrie does long-arm quilting, and offers classes through the local quilt shop. Read about her current class schedule on the CLASSES page, and watch for a new page soon on long-arm quilting. If you are in Bonners Ferry, stop by the North Idaho College Outreach Center. Terrie displays many quilts in the halls of the Center, and changes them often. Enjoy! Thank you for visiting and come back soon. |
